Some tires will add another belt layer on top of the ply, which will run in the direction of tire rolling.

As the tire rolls, a small portion of it in contact with the ground flattens for an instant and then bounces back to its original state, which is called the running surface - it repeatedly flattens and bounces back as the tire travels The change to return to the original state, and the heat generated by the continuous flexural deformation of the tire is very beneficial to the tire's grip performance, but if the excessive flexural deformation causes excessive heat generation, it will reduce the tire's grip performance And accelerate tire damage.

The direction of the ply of radial tires is perpendicular to the rolling direction of the tire, which is beneficial to reduce the heat generated by the deflection of the tire, so that the temperature of the tire is lower during operation; since the sidewall of the radial tire is more prone to deflection and deformation, the tire profile is shorter.

The low profile structure of radial tires means that they can carry more loads, and they are more suitable for cruise motorcycles that need to load heavy passengers or luggage; while bias tires can better meet the needs of cruise motorcycles for suspension and cornering performance. In view of this, you must confirm whether it is suitable for your motorcycle before purchasing motorcycle tires.

For bias tires and radial tires, the groove design of the crown pattern varies according to the potential use of the tire, and the groove design on the tire crown is mainly used to drain water from the running surface of the tire. The more grooves in the crown pattern, the better the drainage performance of the tire. Usually cruise cars and touring cars need to be driven in rain frequently, so their tires need to have high drainage performance; while sports motorcycles are not designed for driving in the rain, so the fewer grooves on the pattern on the tire crown, The more rubber the tire has in contact with the ground, the more traction the tire can get when driving on dry ground.
